Central Theme of the Movie:

This movie comically depicts how a religion that used to be a discipline was overshadowed, degraded, and converted into a monetary, materialistic thing, a political thing used to gather votes, etc.

It’s a nice break from the conventional Gods like them wearing a same attire, religion are ideologies by humans themselves, not ideologies made humans.

Main motive of the movie is to establish that we should not depend on anyone like saints, etc rather we should do our own research about why are we preaching a particular God.

The character that influenced me the most:

Kanjilal Mehta

The protagonist, Kanjilal Mehta influenced me the most, he was helpful when people came to him requesting to fight for them too, he fought for what he believed in, logically.

If any tips by Krishna(Akshay Kumar) sounded logical to Kanjilal, he grasped them too as if he’s ready to learn with logic.

“Ignorance is bliss”

With proper knowledge, he crushed the claims established by fraudulent so-called “saints” in the movie.

The scene that influenced me the most:

Reading terms and conditions before signing anything is IMPORTANT

Because if we don’t do so, it could lead to self-harm in terms of financial loss or mental loss.

Another scene that influenced me where Lord Krishna showed himself in his conventional avatar at the hospital and did a discussion with Kanjilal that everyone has put him on the pedestal as a prize that they are flawless and all. But in reality, Gods are like humans who did something very amazing along with their flaws, we should treat them as friends whom we respect despite their shortcomings.

Lessons to be learned by society:

Society must not attach themselves with someone or a God or religion so much that they would even kill a living conscious being.

People should be taught how and why God should be preached not just because everyone preaches God so we should.

People should not expect or keep the saints or ‘babas’ on pedestals that they are perfect human beings with no flaws and blindly follow them.

Words of Wisdom learned:

If a person wants to believe or not believe like an atheist in something they should have the freedom to do so.

We should respect other people’s beliefs unlike Kanjilal who always disrespected people’s beliefs, if they wanted to not believe in God, he shouldn’t but he repeatedly did that and got his karma back in return.

Another lesson to be taken from this movie is that we should be happy and grateful for whatever we have.
